APPROPRIATE ECOLOGICAL ASSESMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EIA FOR THE GARAZO – ANOGEIA ROAD

This assessment was implemented in the context of the EIA for the Garazo – Anogeia project. The study area covers the total area of the Natura 2000 site, coded GR4330005. Within this Natura area a small part of the above road is included, within the Regional Units of Rethimno and Iraklio in the Region of Crete.

The study’s purpose is the inclusion of environmental criteria and to establish conditions under which it is possible to operate a tourist area about 25 ha, in Nisi area of St Catherine of Corfu, taking into account the sensitive ecological features of the area.

Impact assessment study in the river ecosystem from the construction of a hydroelectric plan on Metsovitikos River (SES 108)

In Metsovitiko River area, in Ioannina County, the Metsovitiko hydroelectric plan is being constructed by the Public Power Corporation. The aim of the project is to implement an Ecological Base Study in river ecosystem.

Ecological baseline study (EBS) in the area of construction of the Acheloos River diversion project (EPM 107)

This study concerns:

• Μonitoring of habitats and species based on official EU guidelines,

• Ιdentification, recording and assessment of the conservation status of a) species and habitat types of the Annexes to Directive 92/43 / EEC, and b) species and types of nationally important habitats and species designated as threatened at national and / or European level c ) characterizing species, species of Annex I of Directive 2009/147 / EC and important migratory species and species classified as threatened at national and / or European level, and d) habitat types who have probably been discarded or whose characteristics have altered and constitute new discrete units.

Ecological Assessment Study of the area Elous Faros, Sifnos island (SES 105)

The study concerns the ecological assessment of the area called Elos Faros in Sifnos island which, in accordance with the PD published in the Official Gazette 229/SSO/19.06.2012, has been designated as a “Small island Wetland” with the name “Elos Faros” and code number Υ422SIF002.

Appropriate environmental assessment, for the installation of Frontal and Sides Toll stations of the Egnatia Motorway- Section 12.1.2 (SES 104):

Appropriate environmental assessment, for the installation of Frontal and Sides Toll stations of the Egnatia Motorway- Section 12.1.2 (SES 104): This Study examines the ecological and environment impacts from the installation of the Frontal Toll Station at the position 27+950, Section 12.1.2, of the Egnatia Motorway,at a distance equal to 150m from the entrance (of Rest Areas Moustheni and the installation of Side toll stations at the right hand branches A2 and B1 of the Moustheni’s Interchange at the position 23+500 of the same Section.

 

Part of the study area and in particular the Frontal Toll Station is within the borders of the Natura 2000 protected area “Oros Pangaio kai Noties Yporeies tou” (GR1150011), which is designated as a Special Protection Area (SPA), according to the Directive 2009/147 on the conservation of wild birds.
