Monitoring and assessment of the conservation status of habitat types and flora and fauna of Directives 92/43/EEC and 2009/147/EC and in particular of habitat types of Community interest Centaurea niederi in the area of Kotychi - Strofylia Management Body (KSMB)"(SES 110)

The project aims at monitoring and assessing the degree of conservation of habitat types and flora of Directive 92/43/EEC on the Carrier Liability Management Area of Kotychi- Strofylia wetland.

More specifically, the aim of the project is to investigate the presence, record, monitor and evaluate the degree of conservation, of the following habitat types and species in the area of KSMB

16 types of habitats of Annex I of Directive 92/43 / EEC,

2 types of habitats with increased importance for the conservation of biodiversity in the region (72A0 and 6290)

1 habitat type (ecotone 9540x2270),

the plant species Centaurea niederi of Annex II of Directive 92/43 / EEC

The final evaluation was based on the requirements of the guidance document: Assessment and reporting under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive for the period 2007-2012, adopted in July 2011 as well as on older applicable guidelines.

Survey and Monitoring of Amphibians and Reptiles species in the responsibility area of the Management Body of Mount Parnon and Moustos Wetland (SES 106)

The study is ongoing. Up to present the following have been completed: Deliverable of the 1st Phase, which contains a species list, a basic information report, a proposal for the reference grid to be used, as well as a detailed description of the sampling and analysis methods and the fieldwork planning, Interim Report of the 2nd Phase, which includes the activities performed and the obtained results, as well as the progress assessment in relation to initial planning and the future activities planning.
